LIDOCAIN 2%

INDICATIONS

- Local anesthetic during certain surgical procedures.

- Used in infiltration, nerve block and epidural anesthesia.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE

Local infiltration anesthesia: S.C. injection

Cattle, horses: 50 – 70 ml (do not exceed 100 ml)

Goats, sheep: 20 – 35 ml (do not exceed 50 ml)

Dogs: 5 – 10 ml (do not exceed 15 ml)

Cats: 2 – 3 ml (do not exceed 4 ml)

Nerve block:

Cattle, horses: 5 – 10 ml

Dogs: 1 – 2 ml

Caudal anesthesia

Horses: 5 – 10 ml

Cows: 4 – 6 ml

Goats, sheep: 2 – 3 ml

Note: do not inject intravenously.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD: Nil

PRESENTATION: Vial of 100 ml
