INDICATIONS:

For small dogs weighing from 5.7 - 11kgs.

For use in dogs to prevent canine heartworm disease by eliminating the tissue stage of heartworm larvae (Dirofilaria immitis) for a month (30 days) after infection and for the treatment and control of ascarids (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) and hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma braziliense).

ADMINISTRATION & DOSAGE:

• Monthly oral administration of 1 tablet for dogs weighing from 5.7 - 11kgs.
• Can be given by hand or added intact tablet to a small amount of dog food.
• HEARTWORM SHIELD S is recommended for dogs 6 weeks of age and older, treatment and control of ascarids and hookworms is best achieved by administering 1 tablet every two weeks.

PRECAUTIONS:

• All dogs must be tested for existing heartworm infection prior to starting treatment with HEARTWORM SHIELD S which is not effective against adult  D.immitis. Infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms and microfilariae prior to initiating treatment.

SIDE EFFECTS:

• Vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours of dosing was rarely observed.
• The following reactions have been reported: Depression, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea, mydriasis, ataxia, staggering, convulsions and hypersalivation.

STORAGE:  Store in dark and cool place, protect from light.

SHELF-LIFE:  36 months.

PRESENTATION:  1 box containing 10 blister tablets.
