SPECTINOMYCIN 5%

COMPOSITION:

100mL contains:

• Spectinomycin (as 2HCl•5H₂O): 5g.
• Excipient q.s.f: 100mL.

INDICATIONS:

For the treatment and prevention of:

• White scour in newborn piglets, enterotoxemia due to E. coli, Salmonella, as well as gastroenteritis in young animals.
• Bloody dysentery due to Treponema, Vibrio coli.

ADMINISTRATION & DOSAGE:

Oral administration.

Piglets - under 4kg:

• Average dose: 1mL/2kg b.w. for 3 - 5 days.
• Curative dose: 2mL/head, twice daily, for 3 days.
• Prophylaxis dose: 2 - 3mL/head once, only as soon as possible after birth.

Calves, lambs, kids:

• Curative dose: 1mL/3 - 4 kg b.w. for 3 - 5 days.
• Prophylaxis dose: 1mL/3 - 4kg b.w. once, only as soon as possible after birth.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

• Meat: 5 days.

PRESENTATION: Plastic bottle of 100mL, 200mL.
