CLAFOTAX

COMPOSITION
Each vial 1g contains:

Cefotaxime sodium                  1000 mg

INDICATIONS

Cefotaxime is indicated for the treatment of infectious diseases of all species:

• Septicaemia, pasteurellosis, erysipelas.
• Pneumoniae, pleura-pneumoniae, broncho-pneumoniae, bromchitis
• Enteritis, white-scour, blood diarrhea, typhoid, para-typhoid, enterotoxaemia caused by Clostridium spp., E. coli, Salmonella.
• Purulent inflammation: Sorf tissues dermatitis, furuncles, foot-rot, metritis, mastitis, M.M.A and urogenital diseases.
• Post-operation.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Animals with hypersensitivity to Penicillin and Cephalosporin.
• Patients in renal failure.

ADMINISTRATION & DOSAGE

I.M, I.V or S.C injection. Twice daily, for 3-5 consecutive days. For severe diseases, 3 times per day.

Reconstitution the content in distilled water for injection (each 1 g with 5 ml water).

Intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SC) or intravenousus (IV) administration.

General dose is 20-30 mg/kg bodyweight per day, divided 2-3 times. Severe illness with 3-4 folds of general dose. For 3-4 days.

Pigs, cattle, horses, sheep, goats:          20-30 mg/kg b.w per day, divided 2-3 times.

Dogs, cats:                                           25-50 mg/kg b.w per day, divided 2-3 times.

Poulty:                                                 30-50 mg/kg b.w per day, divided 2-3 times.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

Slaughter: 12 days for pig; 8 days for cattle.

Milk: Nill

SHELF-LIFE: 2 years

STORAGE: In a cool and dry place, protected from light.
