According to reports from the Veterinary Department, there have been 101 cases of rabies reported among animals across 25 provinces since the beginning of this year. Rabies, a highly contagious disease caused by the rabies virus, not only poses a severe risk to animal health but also presents a direct threat to human safety, as it can be transmitted to humans through bites or scratches from infected animals
