Fermenting green fodder (maize stalks, fresh grass): 1 kg product / 2000 kg fodder.
- Wilt fodder slightly, chop into ~3 cm pieces.
- Layer the chopped fodder and sprinkle HAN‑PROFEED powder evenly. Repeat until complete.
- Mix thoroughly, then compact into a fermentation pit, plastic drum or sealed plastic bag.
- Ferment for 15–20 days. Ready when yellowish, moist, and sour-smelling.
- Can be stored for 6–12 months depending on storage conditions.
Fermenting compound feed (rice bran, cornmeal, soybean meal...): 1 kg product / 1000 kg feed.
Wet fermentation method (for starches, food leftovers, household scale):
- Mix 0.5 kg HAN‑PROFEED with 5 kg ingredients, add 250 L clean water, stir and let stand 1 hour to obtain starter.
- Add 245 kg ground feed (e.g. maize, cassava), stir into starter until just submerged.
- Leave container open for 4–5 hours, then seal. Store warm in winter, cool in summer.
- Ferment 24 hours (> 30°C) or 24–48 hours (≤30°C). Use when feed is sour and pleasantly aromatic.
Semi-moist fermentation method (for large-scale farms):
- Mix 0.5 kg HAN‑PROFEED with 5 kg ingredients, add 150 L clean water, stir and let stand 1 hour.
- Mix with 350 kg ground feed in a mixer. Add liquid starter and blend until moist but non-sticky (test: formable by hand, not runny).
- Place in lined sacks or containers loosely (do not compress). Leave open for 5–6 hours, then seal.
- Ferment 24–36 hours (> 30°C) or 36–48 hours (≤30°C). Ready when mildly sour and aromatic.
- Use within 3–5 days after fermentation.
