HAN-IODINE 10% demonstration for prevention of mastitis in Myanmar

Yangon, Myanmar– July 17, 2014 – Today, Han-Iodine 10% (1 litre) produced by Pharmaceutical and Veterinary Material JSC (HANVET) was demonstrated to be an effective prevention and treatment for mastitis, a common disease in dairy cows. Mr.Tin Win, owner of Ngwe Sin Pa Le (Silvery Pearl) dairy farm, hosted the event, attracting a large attendance of small milk farm holders.

Established in 1999, Silvery Pearl is one of the largest dairy farms in the Yangon area. There are up to 106 dairy cows with 68 contract farms consisting of 700 cows in total. The farm has received tremendous support from the local government and New Zealand authority in response to the national campaign to boost milk production. Silvery Pearl milk products are available at all supermarkets and two branded retail shops in Yangon.

Han-Iodine 10% is one of HANVET’s products having been exported and marketed in Myanmar by Shwe Kyein Yeik company Ltd since 2010. As a powerful and broad-spectrum antiseptic, Han-Iodine has a rapid and long-lasting germicidal action with low toxicity, non-corrosive and non-staining characteristics. Along with Han-Iodine 10%, HANVET now also offers more specific products to prevent and treat mastitis in both lactating and dry cows, including Hanceft-DC, Hanceft-LC and Masti-Dry

Ealier this month, HANVET’s vice general director- Mr. Hồ Minh Dũng also paid a visit to Silvery Pearl dairy farm, showing his respect and appreciation of the existing support of Mr. Tin Win. “In addition to Han-Iodine 10%, our newly launched intramammary antibiotic preparations have been proved to be an essential prevention and treatment method of mastitis for large-scale dairy cow farms in Vietnam. We believe that they would also be a treatment of choice to protect your cows’ health, boosting milk production as a result”, Mr. Hồ said at the meeting, “it is to be hoped that the relationship we have established will allow our cooperation to be expanded further, in a more comprehensive way, in the near future.”
