COMPOSITION

Each ml contains

Oestradiol benzoate	5 mg
Excipient q.s.f	1 ml

INDICATIONS

Target: female horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, rabbits.

- Inducing oestrus during suboestrus and anoestrus.

- Inducing ovulation to aid removal of materials following retained placenta, uteral bleeding, pyometra, or mummified foetus.

- Treatment of pyometra or endometritis in cows.

-Treatment of excess libido, prostate hyperplasia in male animals.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE

I.M. injection for cattle, pigs, sheep, goats ; s.c. injection for dogs

- Horses:

● Suboestrus: 5-15 mg (1-3 ml) as single dose

- Cattle:

● Removal destritus: 15 mg (3 ml) immediately post partum

● Retained placenta: 10-20 mg (2-4 ml)

repeat after 3 days if required

● Metritis, pyometra: 20-25 mg (2-5 ml), weekly for 2-3 weeks

● Mummified foetus: 20-25 mg (4-5 ml)

repeat with concomitant dose of Oxytocin

- Sheep, goats:

● Anoestrus: 3-5 mg (0.5-1 ml) daily for 4 days

- Pigs:

● Anoestrus: 5-10 mg (1-2 ml) and least 40 days after farrowing

- Dogs:

● Misalliance: 5-10 mg (1-2 ml) as single dose and within 4 days of insemination.

● Excess libido: 0.5-1 mg (0.1-0.2 ml)

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:	Nil
