C. C.Perfingens là vi khuẩn Gram(+), yếm khí, hình que lớn, có thể tạo
nha bào. Nha bào rất bền vững với nhiệt nhưng dễ diệt bằng Formalin,
Han-Iodine, Chlorine.
* C.Perfingens typ A sản sinh 2 độc tố: Alpha-độc tố và độc tố đường ruột
và chủ yếu gây tiêu chảy ở lợn cai sữa và lợn nái.
* C.Perfingens tăng sinh và sản sinh beta-độc tố gây viêm hoại tử và
viêm xuất huyết ruột cấp nặng nề, gây chết hoàng loạt cho lợn con dưới 7 ngày
tuổi đặc biệt lợn sơ sinh trong vòng 24-72 giờ.

Triệu chứng
- Bệnh có thể tiến triển ở thể siêu cấp, cấp tính, á cấp tính và thể mạn tính:
* Thể siêu cấp tính: Ở lợn sơ sinh 12-36 giờ sau khi sinh do lợn mẹ
không có miễn dịch hay lợn con sinh ra không được bú sữa đầu sớm.
* Các thể khác: Thường gặp ở lợn 2-3 ngày tuổi hay lớn hơn với các triệu
chứng viêm xuất huyết ruột, gây tiêu chảy dữ dội, phân màu đỏ nâu như rượu vang
Nửa phía sau hông, hậu môn bết toàn phân lẫn máu màu nâu đỏ. Lợn bệnh yếu nhanh
chóng, suy sup, quỵ và chết. Trước khi chết, thân nhiệt thấp dưới mức bình thường
( ~35độ C).
Phòng và điều trị
- Lợn mắc bệnh này chết nhưng nếu có kháng huyết thanh thì
tiêm phòng mỗi con 2ml lúc vừa sinh.
- Can thiệp kịp thời bằng các kháng sinh hay hóa trị liệu sẽ
cho kết quả tốt như:
+ Hanmolin LA
1ml/10 kg TT., 2 ngày tiêm 1 mũi.
+ Hanoxylin LA
1ml/ 10 kg TT., 3 ngày tiêm 1 mũi.
+ Hanceft 1ml/10 kgTT, ngày tiêm 1 mũi.
+ Genorcoli
1ml/6-8 kg TT., I.M.
+ Lincomycin 10%
1ml/10 kg TT.
+ Ampi-Kana
1g/50-60 kg TT.
- Dùng các thuốc bột
uống chứa Phenoxypenicillin, Ampicillin, Amoxicillin, hay một số Sulfonamid,
như: Hampiseptol, Hamcoli-forte, Genta-Costrim, Lincolis, Hancotmix, HanEba
30%.... đều cho kết quả tốt, song phải can thiệp sớm ngay sau khi phát hiện
bệnh, khi đường ruột chưa bị tổn thương nhiều.
- Đây là bệnh thường cấp tính gây mất nước, chất điện giải nên
việc cung cấp nước và điện giải là cần thiết và quan trọng nhất: tiêm phúc
xoang cho mỗi lợn con 20-25 ml đường Glucose
5%, Ringerlactat hoặc Nacl 0,9%. Ngày 2-3 lần
- Tiêm trợ lực bằng Cafein
natribenzoat, Hantophan liều 1-2 ml/con.
- Dùng đèn sưởi ấm cho lợn trong suốt quá trình điều trị để
con vật không bị mất nhiệt
